mass civilian casualties and likely total genocide.

Go back as far as you want, it was also the Arabs who refused the UN 2 state deal. To go back further, the land was promised to Israelis

You do realize they had the Sinai which the captured in the 73 war and returned it in exchange for a permanent peace deal with Egypt back in 78?
You do realize they had seized most of Lebanon including Beirut back in the early 1980’s when they kicked the PLO out only to pull back out.
You keep making these claims yet you really don’t know anything about the history or what has occurred. The Israelis are having trouble with Gaza but you think they are going to seize Beirut and Damascus?
According to the goat lovers, this is all part of a psy-op. They gave up that land so that they could come take it again years later
The part that gets ignored is why all of that land was even seized in the first place... Might have to do with winning a defensive war against islamic jihad

hand over their leaders
How would that work when they’re in Qatar and the civilians are unarmed and starving?
How would the average Palestinian avoid “sharing their fate” if they wanted to?
Again. Personally I’m not defending Hamas. Wipe them out.
I’m just not ok with the genocide of civilians and find it interesting how many Christian Americans (which I am as well) apparently are and refuse to criticize anything Israel does for reasons I don’t understand.

This does not discount the fact the current Israeli leadership has Greater Israel goals. All movements since 1947 have been going in that direction, albeit not on your expected timeline. It ebbs and flows but the direction is clear.

You seem to have a significant problem with wiping them out. The strike that this thread is about, eliminated Hamas and no civilians, and yet you are still complaining.

Right and not promised to Eastern Europeans.

Look up the ethnic makeup of Israel, European Jews only make up like 25% of the country.

We were attempting to negotiate a peace in good faith the week the bomb dropped.
Once it dropped we tried again and were denied.
Then we hit Nagasaki and they finally agreed to terms.
There was no attempt to eliminate the Japanese people as a whole.
There was always a path to peace.
So no, it was not genocide or even an attempt at one.
In fact a ground invasion or even continued mass fire bombings of civilian areas would’ve killed far more Japanese and I wouldn’t be here because my grandfather was set to be on the second wave of any invasion of mainland Japan with some projected casualty rates well north of 75% for close combat units.

Why do they keep killing the people who are going to sign a ceasefire deal?
When has Hamas ever kept their promises in ceasefire deals? They essentially treat a ceasefire like a timeout so they can reorganize and rearm before they start their next round of terrorist shite.

Because there isn’t going to be a ceasefire. Israel’s goal from the beginning has been eradication of Hamas.

You asked this yesterday. And apparently today they were eliminated. Do you think Hamas will cease to exist because you don’t know the names of the leaders?

How do you get this:
From this?
I don’t care that they hit them. I just want to give the civilians a path to safety because I’m opposed to genocide which is what will happen if they continue total war without providing a path to peace.
If they don’t want to negotiate with Hamas, cool.
Allow everyone into camps, separate children and non combatants, put anyone involved with Hamas into prison and ship the rest to whatever Arab nation is willing to have them.
Then rebuild the area as they see fit or just pave the whole place over.
Again…
Hamas = bad
Killing civilians unnecessarily = also bad
Taking PR hits for supporting another country killing civilians? = bad and dumb because there is no upside for us

Israel drew the line at "total victory".

Is it?
They seized the entire West Bank in the 67 war and yet they didn’t occupy all of it.
They returned Gaza to the Palestinians 20 years ago and would have been happy to stay out only having to go back in after the October 7th attacks.
They gave the Palestinians 98% of what they asked for in terms of a Palestinian state back in the 90’s they only caveat was the Palestinians would have to share the capital of Jerusalem. The Palestinians refused.
So the facts again don’t line up with your narrative. I see one side who has traded land for peace and one side who is hell bent on continuing the fighting.
There is plenty you can criticize Israel for but they have been willing to make peace the other side has not.

who is forcing that??
Hamas AND Israel IMO.
Either has or had previously the power to change that outcome.
Both have responsibility for the deaths that resulted.

Trying to figure out who "we" are negotiating with.
