Honestly, I thought that the only people who still have pagers nowadays are people who are being released from prison after 20+ years. And of course the prison guards laugh at the ex-con and tell him "better get 2024 technology, pal" as they give him back his pager.
I seriously don't remember the last time I saw a pager.

If you're a Hezbollah spy in Israel, you're fricked.

I've been skeptical of the Israeli claims they're on the edge of invading Lebanon, if they were going to do that, they wouldn't be talking about it, they'd just do it. But this is a one time opportunity, and it makes sense a prelude to an attack.
Hezbollah is apparently mobilizing, so they must think that too

I need to learn this trick. I want it for cell phones. I can call the target and say, "I'm just calling to tell you goodbye", as the phone detonates next to their ear.
Well if the Feds weren’t in this thread before they certainly are now.

If tweet fails to load, click here. Wonder if Nasrallah is actually Mossad?

Similar to cluster bombs this is an act of blatant terrorism. How many innocents are permanently maimed after this attack? We will never know and Israel likely won't ever be charged. But just to be clear israel has gone beyond the pale with this, as clever as it was, it's an inexcusable act of terrorism from an army that claims to be the most moral in the world.
I will invoke the prophet Elijah and Jesus Christ himself when I denounce the current nation of Israel and the sins of its people. Forgive them Father.

Absolutely couldn't be more accuate in your statement.

In seriousness I have no idea how to pull that off. I know that a cell phone can get very warm if used a lot (in my case, all it does is turn down the brightness to where I can't see anything).
I've heard two things: 1) they hacked into the server and overheated the lithium batteries causing them to explode. A little harder to conceive that they would all (1000 or so) would heat up and explode simultaneously. 2) Israelis set up a fake pager company and preloaded the pagers with explosives. But how did they know the pagers would go to Hezbollah members? Maybe they hacked the order of the supplier. Amazing stuff.
Brilliant in either scenario. Pagers would be attached to their bodies whereas a phone wouldn't necessarily be on the person at the precise moment.

Aren't weapons designed to maim a war crime?
Isn't attacking and killing innocent civilians a war crime?
Remember, in spite of what Palestenian supporters say, none of this happens if October 7th didn't happen.

That makes no sense. This had to have been a supply chain attack with small amount of explosives put into the pagers.
I'm sure the Hezbollah fighters got a real good deal from someone on these specific pagers..
Pretty genius ideal though. Don't mess with the Israeli Massad...
Also activates new nightmares for all of us cell phone users.

Another valid point. I'm going to need more proof than a media or government spokesperson.
The only video I saw, the guy fell in the floor after it detonated but was still moving around on the floor afterwards.

Now you cry about terrorism huh?

1. That is awesome.
2. Who still uses a pager?
3. How do you make a pager explode?
