The West Bank has a much higher average wage, and significantly less unemployment than Gaza. But Israel is in charge of security there, so I have no clue what the difference could be.

And if someone chooses to stay as a shield, then that means they are fighting with Hamas. A shield is a weapon.
Yes, I understand that some (or a lot) of them might not have a choice.. or they might feel like they don’t have a choice.. but that is just another layer of the evil over there.
