Feels like Hamas is ready to martyr themselves and their entire population of the strip for the cause. Only thing I can see is they want Israel to kill enough people it makes the rest of the Muslim world join in the fight.

Yes, but Iran feels it's perfectly acceptable if Hamas miscalculated and they get martyred, as long as Iran gets missed in the carnage

Iran is a minority of Islam. They only care about themselves and increasing the power and spread of the Shia. They want to be seen as the true sect of Islam thus their proxy war vs Israel. They will do everything they can to thwart peace with Islamic nations and Israel.
