This isn’t the way I wanted net neutrality to roll back.

The internet company is also a private company, so can’t it do what it wants? Or just the big ones get to play dirty?

it's not really censorship. Not like they can't log off of wi-fi to use get to it. Mobile carriers aren't gonna do shite.

I for one applaud it.

Absolutely, but this isn't that. I'm going to guess the ISP in Idaho hosts far less people than have been censored or already deleted their twitter accounts. It's fighting a tsunami by hitting the water with a paddle. I guess it doesn't matter at this point. they were already going to retaliate with more encompassing measures. Do we have any alternate plans in place for TD? back to classified ads in the newspaper?

so your way of fighting censorship is well.....censorship?

they block it by default. the email they sent out to customers says they can unblock it if you request it.

What exactly is your point?

Well have at it bro. Get to shooting, nothing stopping you. Be the one man wrecking crew.

what's your plan to fight back, workout bro?

My plan, well I'm not real worried about freedom of speech when it's a private company that is regulating on a atform they created. Personally I don't give a frick.

Some of you have real issues with the constitution and what freedom of speech means. The 1st doesn't mean you are immune from censorship, just means you can't be thrown in jail for things you say when it comes to critiquing the government.

As far as what I am going to do, I'm going to live my life to the fullest, work my arse off to make sure I am winning no matter who the person in the white house is, going to hedge against inflation and vote when I can. I will teach my kids the right things.

But I am not going to go all 1 man revolutionary either and I know for a fact 99.9999% of yall want.

frick most of you don't like Timothy McVey and consider him a piece of shite for the okc bombing, yet now yall wanna do the same thing....bullshite, just talking a big game.

And wtf am I supposed to be doing something about? I haven't been visited one time for something I said or censored any at all. Am I supposed to be taking up arms because my political person of choice lost? The same person who has split to conservative movement and has formed a cult of personality around him? The one that likes to say he is a conservative yet less than 50% of his policies are conservative.

Principles, you mother frickers need some principles to stand on. Yall waver more than liberals do.

We’re running out of non-violent things we can fight them with. I think the tree of liberty could use some manure so I hope we just get it over with before my sons get old enough to be dragged in.

The tree of liberty can be fixed with some hard work like the lady in Arizona did. She working to verify all of the state's voter registrations. This is one of the things that needs to be done in every state to suppress the fraud.

Arizona Citizens Investigation Discovers Thousands of Phantom Voters in State – Up to 30% of Addresses in Investigation Were Fraudulent

Among other things, Piton found one corner lot has 1,500 registered voters and the lot next to it has 1,000. It’s beyond suspicious that 2,500 voters are registered to such a small area of land.

they are a private company, why do you want the government controlling a private company? some of yall have weird ways of being "conservatives"

Ma Bell was a collection of private companies too. FB and Twitter need to go the way of "her". In the meantime, hitting them in the pocketbook seems fair.

No it can do what it wants, I don't give a shite, but I'm not going to celebrate it because it's censoring something I don't like.

Do you realize how hypocritical that is and how anti conservative that is?

My prediction.. Facebook and Twitter will sue, so this doesn't become a thing...and a judge will force that isp to allow Facebook and Twitter again.

Big tech can censor us and dictate national narrative. They can group up and smash apart any small company that has the potential to threaten their monopoly. But... government will quickly step in if another private company tries to censor big tech.

It really isn’t though.
One is a company censoring customers/users based on very inconsistent standards.

The other is a company denying all access to a company because of its censoring of customers/users based on very inconsistent standards.

jesus, you are 100% warping things to fit your view point.

1) is a private company censoring what is posted on its platform (facebook, twitter)

2) is censorship by removal of a product that allows items to be posted that the parent company does not agree with. Again a private company censoring. (apple, google, amazon)

3) is censorship for a utility because it doesnt agree with the way #1 is censoring.

its all censorship, period, all by private companies. They can do whatever they want, but i have a much bigger problem with the utility doing it if their are no alternatives isp's in the area.
