So you lump all offenses in the same pile? Is that how your system works?
So a rape is the same as person stealing a bag of potato chips since they are both crimes right?!

I said:

Our system is so corrupt and has been for about 40 years. The only thing that would surprise me about this is if he actually gets sentenced to any jail time.

You replied:

Enlighten me. How many times has a former president been convicted of a crime by a state court?

I see that I wasn't clear when I said "system." I meant our system of government, but I can see how someone would think I meant penal system. Our penal system has been corrupt since it's inception, though.

So when you responded to my corruption comment with a question specifically about Trump, I took it to mean you think Trump is the first "victim" of our corrupt government. Obviously, you know better.

I don't know.

I know that 19 died in the George Floyd riots in the US. No telling how many were injured. Over a Billion dollars worth of property damage was done.

How many participants in those riots do you think voted Republican?

The left has neutered any will to fight in our side.
They’ve instilled fear into the majority of the population that disagrees with them simply by doing what they’ve done to the J6 protesters and changing the language around insurrection, terrorism, white supremacy and domestic threats .

Blaming "them" and throwing your hands up is just being a perpetual victim.

Additionally, there can be no communication with regard to organizing and assembling because they’ve successfully strangled the will to meet them head on.

How many people who were assembled outside of the Capitol were arrested, charged and convicted?

What did you prefer or think was better about "our system" in 1984, and before then I suppose, versus now?

The most dangerous place in the US in November will be between Trump voters and the voting booth; stay out of their way.... People on the right still believe in the constitution so they will exercise their discontent in that manner. They are not children.

Nothing, actually. I underestimated how long our government has been extremely corrupt. In my estimate, it started with JFK, but it was probably super corrupt even before then.

ETA: our politicians did feign more decorum than our current politicians do, though. that was preferable.

Nope, in context I was clearly referring to Trump.
Those people worked for Trump.

Oh. You're trying to prove to a conservative-dominated message board that conservatives are better than liberals.

Good luck with that sell.

Well sit back and whine about it. That’s how all societal and cultural revolutions occur, right?

No, you lying hag, I'm contradicting a direct statement you typed with your own hag hands.

Also, I just want the record to show that you are the one who escalated the conversation. I was perfectly civil until now.

You keep pretending this is some run of the mill corruption that we’ve always seen in politics, and I’m saying it’s not. What’s happening to Trump never ever happened to another candidate and it should trouble anyone who doesn’t want to see our entire system implode.

I mean, how can you top an assault on the Capitol? Not only were OFFICERS assaulted, hell the damn people was running for their damn lives. But let's not let that fact get in the way.
