Distraction. Bigger issue is Trump wants to import 600,000 Chinese students because the “talent” isn’t in America.

This like something a school student council would pull. Some crazy stunt.
Made no sense. But somebody thought it was worth a shot and recommended it.
Somebody though it was a solution to whatever problem they got.
Seems like an idea an intern would come up with. Or somebody kid on bring your kid to work day.
In any event, it made no sense and set the president for al that's gone on since.

Every passing day proves there is something in there Trump doesn’t want exposed about himself. There can literally be no other explanation.

Trump being Trump, the man threw out a number. Here are the facts, this past year there were 277K chinese students. Four years ago there were 372K students, a 33% decrease.
Rubio has openly spoken about student visas for chinese students in critical areas of research at top universities which alarmed the chinese govt during critical trade negotiations......which is what Trump wanted. So now he says "no we love chinese students".
Watch what he is doing not what he is saying, the chinese are, and they know he could cut that number by another 100K. The art of the deal at work.
