People in general are completely ignorant of how powerful fentanyl actually is and the only time it is legitimately injected is through an IV port before surgery by an anesthesiologist. Even IF by some miracle you were prescribed fentanyl for debilitating pain associated with certain cancers, it isn’t in a vile or pill form. It is far too dangerous in those forms. It is usually in a lozenge or nasal spray

When my wife was on chemo, they gave her fentanyl patches.

My sister had cancer & was on the fentanyl patches for the last few months of her life. I read the warning in the fentanyl patch box & it was scary. One of the warnings said do not pick up or touch a child/baby while wearing the patch. Doing so could cause the child/baby to die.

Yep, standard IV form is 100 micrograms in 2mL. So, 2mg is 20 vials of what you would find in the hospital setting. It's very dilute.

It is extremely potent and rarely prescribed even for the worst pain but in those cases a fentanyl overdose is the least of their worries

I always like how we pat ourselves on the back on the reduction in overdose deaths the past couple of years.
