Tuba taking us back to 1860

At least most of the self-respecting libs on here only pretend it's 1960.

What? since a large portion of the population speak dutch. Have you been to Belgium?

I haven't been to the arctic. It's cold. It's something called 'reading.' Try it. The Dutch have been hating on the Belgians for a long time over language and territorial boundaries.

This is silly. A country is perfectly capable of treating 40% of its population like shite, or 1% of its population well.

I would add to this that a minority group that makes up 40% of a nation's population is more likely to be mistreated than a minority group that makes up 1% of its population. Iranian Jews are probably the best treated minority group in the Mideast.

Yes.

The USA is by far the most tolerant country in the world. We have an avalanche of media and cultural tolerance that is not common at all in the rest of the world.

Is say Canada, Australia, and New Zealand are comparable.

Do they have the demographics of the USA though?

It's pretty easy to be tolerant when it's just one or two demographics in the country....

Uh, no.

Ask a citizen of Australia about their opinion on Abo's and see how "tolerant" they are. They are some racist MF's over there.

It's east to see those who've never been around the World. There is a reason more people from around the world will die trying to get to America. Not even close.

Holland and Belgium
Have they elected/appointed said minority as Chief Executive, as Chief Diplomat, as Chief of National Law Enforcement?

They literally have politicians that run on anti-muslim immigrant platforms.

I am fully aware but they are the loud minority. They have 14 seats out of the 150.

Congrats you read a book. The majority of the country speaks dutch and are flemish.

Belgium is a very friendly place to minorities even if they have a territorial dispute with Holland. How about you go to the country and talk to the people and actually see the culture and demographics.

Belgium might be a comparable country. But it's only because Belgium has been beaten down so often by its fellow countries that its citizens literally have learned not to care or raise a row about anything. Might pass as live and let live. But it's more akin to battered wife syndrome. Still, the Flemish don't get along particularly well, nor do Dutch factions. At one point, ethnic and sectarian animus prevented formation of a government for nearly two years.

Its more in fighting by the natives than hating minorities.

I was stationed in Fulda, Germany back in 88-89 with the 11th Armored Cav. I guess things must have changed because when i was there, the Getmans still looked at anyone who was not German as being somewhat less.

Germans are pretty tolerant of outsiders. But they are very blunt and are not pc at all. Germans will speak their mind in a heart beat. My gf and her mom hold nothing back when talking about turks.

They also have laws in place that force people who move to the country to have to learn german first before being employed.
