Australians aren't big fans of their natives or Asians. I did go out with a group in Melbourne that included a black guy. He got a lot of attention, not negative, just because there are so few of them.
Didn't see many minorities in New Zealand other than their natives. The only people I heard them complain about though were Australians.

Being a republic the U.S. is, by design, determined to protect the rights of the individual. At times this can be contrary to the wants of the majority.
I'd say there is no better place on earth for a minority to thrive than in the U.S.

not even close. no country on earth can claim the ethnic, geographical and religious diversity comparable to the United States, and to top it off, and these laws are bullshite, we have title vii protection

I'll bet James Byrd wishes someone had just thrown bananas at him. The Secret Information Concerning Black American Troops was a tacit admission by the U.S. government that Europe was more tolerant of Black folks than the U.S. was. On the other hand, the U.S. has never put Jews in gas chambers. The U.S., just like all nations, has been more tolerant of some groups than other groups, which is why it's wrong to paint with a broad brush in these kinds of discussions.

Brazil is an interesting thought. I wonder what the make-up of that nation is by ethnicity? I know they have south American descent, African descent and a large Japanese population as well. It would be interesting to see a good percentile breakdown.

More people of any color ,creed or religion can and has suceeded in America. By far more than any other country. If you dont try and use these things as excuses,anyone can live a great life in America. I wish more would try it. It starts with a strong family unit and EDUCATION. Its not just to be given to anyone.
