In regards to women's march....
God forbid Trump do what our founding fathers wanted and reduce central power on certain decisions (in this case abortion) and allow states to determine laws based on what values align with the majority of their constituents.

I just read the whole piece.
She sounded a little bit like my grandmother in that she was proud to be an American after escaping hell on earth.
A little backstory, when WW2 ended she lost contact with all her family members until the 1970's when her German friend helped her through the American Red Cross find them. She was terrified that they all died during the war, which is why she didn't look.
Through the American Red Cross, they found her full brother still alive living in a small town just outside Frankfurt. She also had a half brother and sisters that were still alive, but some were living in Communist East Germany. She also found out her mom, dad and some half brothers all died during the war.
When she traveled over there for the first time in many years to see her full brother (whom she was the closest to) her brother threw a welcome home party and got drunk as hell and very sick from it.
When she was there, he tried to convince her to move back to Germany (along with my dad), but her reply was that she was no longer German and that she was an American now.
