Hasn't it been said that the New Madrid fault line may cause a big earthquake if this volcano erupts?

That seems pretty unlikely to me, of course I don't know a damn thing about it. However, the land where the Yellowstone Volcano is, has an elevation of 8,000 feet or more, while the land at the New Madrid lies at about 600 feet.

Of course, deeper down underground, there might be a common plate that connects them seismically?

Aint sure it would matter, since 3/4 of the world will probably die anyway. The lucky ones will probably die first.

You've flamed me at least 3 times in this thread alone. I start a thread about a volcano, and you attack me over Q-stuff?

Honey, at least admit the obvious. Other people can read this thread, and others, and see what you're doing (and you and I both know what started this).

Looks like Miami and Brownsville will be the garden spots.

ETA: why would anyone spend 1 second of their life worrying about this? There is nothing that can be done about it.

Meh. Some dirty rain for awhile, and then back to somewhat normal after about 18 months. Bank on it.

All that Ash over the upper Midwest will make awesome fertilizer.

We got quite a bit of nuclear missile silo’s out there in that zone. Wonder what would happen to those nukes, as in would it cause any radioactive leakage or would that be a small problem compared to what just happened lol

Humanity deserves for this thing to erupt at this point. We are an irredeemable damaged species that is a pox on the universe.

Might want to read up on the immediate aftermath of Mount St. Helens eruption.

Breathing that shite in will cause all sorts of fricking issues. Plus, the ash doesn't play well with air intakes.

Pretty much any area covered with ash would have crop failure and be mostly uninhabitable for at least a little while

I had no idea the damage would be that far-reaching. That's a sobering graphic.

I wonder what the difference was with Mt. St. Helen? Location?

Well, given what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah...that sounds about right.

Mt. Saint Helen is a much smaller volcano and far less powerful. Three states would get destroyed instantly, the west cost would be fricked beyond belief, the midwest would be covered in ash which would kill the crops.

Thats just more PBS/NPR bullshiit.
The real danger of Yellowstone erupting is possibly reawakening Godzilla.
