It’s an utterly ridiculous concept. Irks me from vertical and horizontal balance of powers standpoints.

Roberts and Barrett won't allow it.

No way a group of 9 judges takes away judicial power from other judges. Barrett and Riberts Def won't

Most of the SCOTUS like most white collar "professionals" are loyal to their peers over all else. They are fit to rule and they know it. I don't expect them to stop this, if anything the imperial judiciary is now going to take over most of the other branches in terms of power.

I haven't thought this one through, but as usual, Greenwald makes a good point.

No he doesn't.
Like everything that could work, it can't work with modern democrats.

Combine the number of suits under Clinton Obama and Biden and compare them to the number under Trump.

Last chance for SCOTUS. Their last misstep ruling caused the civil war, look it up.

My guess is that they would prefer to police their own rather than invite Congress to do it, which would be totally out of their control.

I mean, this is why Republicans shop for Reed O'Connor in Texas.

They should stay in their lane.
After all they are DISTRICT judges.

How about the idea that the Judicial Branch cannot usurp power from another branch. It’s really not that hard.
Imagine if the executive branch sentenced someone to prison and just bypassed the courts. This is no different.

This seems to have biblical undertones.
Like, there's a book with a chapter that outlines the downfall of judges and the rise of a king because of it.
I could be wrong, but I could swear I read something about it.

It would be ideal to address and prevent the abuse of the system rather than change the system.
