This is more important to me than party ID.

If Senator John Kennedy pledges to investigate the SEC Commissioners office I will vote for him to be governor

Can you elaborate on that at all?

From his bio:
Mr. Kennedy graduated magna cum laude in political science, philosophy and economics from Vanderbilt, was president of his senior class, and elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He received his law degree from the University of Virginia and his B.C.L. degree from Oxford University in England where he was a First Class Honors graduate.
Mr. Kennedy has been an adjunct professor at LSU Law School and a volunteer substitute teacher for public schools. He resides in Madisonville, Louisiana, with his wife Becky and their son, Preston. They are founding members of the North Cross United Methodist Church.

I’ve read the bio, I’m looking for insight beyond that.

Well, I know for a fact that his neighbors are LSU graduates and rabid LSU fans. So there's that.

Honestly, he has a lot to lay out in term of what he would do policy-wise.
Not saying he won't do it, but he has some work to do. Most of his previous state policy pronouncements were more smoke than light.

John Kennedy = John Kerry state campaign manager.
Believe what you want, I think he's an opportunist who practices his drinking weedkiller type statements in front of a mirror. A typical snake oil salesman who points out all the problems yet never really has a solution.
Having said that, I can't say I wouldn't vote for him, depending who else is running.

Bump. Anybody else?

If he was Governor he would cut funding to LSU
It's just another state agency to him
Just like Little Bobby. He also would want four seats in a skybox.

Colloquially articulate and entertaining compared to some other LA reps on the national scene - likeable face and seems fair-minded on most issues. May be a snake oil salesman, but tell me who in politics is not? Make promises, raise money, win votes.

What does any of that have to do with LSU?

I'm not the biggest Kennedy fan, but I'm not sure what you're basing this on.
And you realize the Governor gets his very own whole suite in Tiger Stadium regardless, don't you?

Important to me, too. Because if he intends to funnel even more money into that bloated pit of self-serving academic waste, I’m not pleased.
