Won’t happen. Not worth spending a lot of time on it.

No. It’s a great way for the GOP to buy legislative votes.

TSU in Nashville is broke bc some dumbazz thought the fed pork would continue forever. Most HBCUs should become trade schools or cease to exist. Dunno why Trump gave them ishtload of money last time around.

LSU…look up the stats. 18.9% of the student body with double the graduation rate of Southern.

Because contrary to popular opinion, some people actually do want segregation. But it’s only fine when they do it.

Before they hit the HBCUs maybe they can start by consolidating other universities first. Think Louisiana has like 15 universities for a population of 4.5 million? Thats ridiculous.

SUNO. For sure there are no classes offered there that aren’t offered at its next door neighbor UNO or at Delgado.

Abysmal graduation rates on top of that.

President Donald Trump on Thursday signed a bipartisan bill that will permanently provide more than $250 million a year to the nation’s historically black colleges and universities.

$250 million is like a drop of water in an Olympic size swimming pool as compared to what Biden has giving the Ukraine, yearly.

Depends, if they are like most public HBCUs then yes, there needs to be a discussion because many (most) are struggling financially...

Well, I understand the sentiment (I think) that if the dollars flowed to more traditional institutions of higher learning, and these same HBCU students were to attend these more traditional colleges
HBCUs are traditional. Obviously, they stem from a time when Blacks were not allowed in major public universities. Obviously that was a social obscenity. HBCUs offered higher education where no other opportunity was evident. E.g., There is a good argument that Kamala Harris might have failed/dropped out of a public university in CA. Instead, she went to Howard.

I just don't to be within 10 miles of one of their football games, especially a homecoming in Atlanta.

A lot of colleges are becoming extinct by having no students. Follow the sad story of Knoxville College (in Knoxville TN, no surprise there). Most of their buildings are condemned, there are a few names on their leadership board, and two years ago someone graduated from there even though no classes were offered or attended that year.
The Knox County library has put some Knoxville College Annuals on line. Their students used to come from all over this country. And now they don't.

They have a new President and had a homecoming this year.

Elon and Vivek would say to shut them down. We learned that in the H1B debate.
