Irks me too. But fentanOL rhymes with TylenOL, also a pain killer, so I can see the mistake, especially as it gets repeated over time.

Their has to bee a better whey.

That was my feeble attempt to keep a joke going. My boss pronounces it fentanol all the time. Doesn’t matter how many times it is pronounced correctly in conversation, he still misses.
