Reporters can say that The Steele Dossier says Trump peed on a hotel bed because it’s true - the dossier did say that. She had to know it was a lie yet she repeatedly flaunted it. That is slander. I don’t care how public a figure he is; that is outrageous slander, and she deserves to be financially ruined.
There are a few who deserve the same for what they did to Trump. One is Hillary Clinton, and another is Christopher Steele.

Where do you live? Your statement Tw above are incredibly unintelligent
1. Federal court applies because that is where the lawsuit is brought
2. I assume you know what a tort is and it's application in federal court
3. Libel/slander/defamation are common law claims although I suppose it could be argue that state law would apply given the interstate nature of the disbursement of allegations.

Well what do you make of the fact that her shows were based on a book written by Xavier Poussard after he did years of research and he isn't being sued like her. The Macron's have harassed journalists and lost other suits though. Doesn't that give her all the cover she needs under the US standards?

If your source was your buddy who you know never worked as a hooker, Trump could sue you and could probably win.
And of course there are other things like opinions that will really get into the weed for malice. Suing someone for saying Trump is racist would be very hard to win.
Now if i went in a public tirade about trump secretly being 5’7” and everyone around him is in perspective and he’s lying to the american public
becaus we’d never elect a short president, he could probably sue me and win. because he’s not 5’7” I dont have any real reason to believe he is and I cant prove he is.
