I am trying to get a gauge on whether it is abnormal to be less concerned about dying from COVID and more concerned about the $26 trillion in debt our country has and growing. Major companies are laying workers off or cutting back their pay. The economy is not springing back like they hoped it would because government officials are still holding it back. The new plans to open schools require only half the capacity for students on busses and facilities. We are even now discussing another 3 trillion dollar bailout of money which we do not have. Where does it end?

Just tell the boomers it's another middle eastern military engagement, and we'll find money for it.

I’m worried about a deep recession.
If Bernie wins I will be worried about a collapse

Maybe a little, but what can you do. I have plenty of equipment to provide food for my family if needed. It’s not like they are gonna run everyone out of their houses when nobody is paying their mortgage. Go get you some candles, a canoe, a fishing pole, bow and arrow and a machete (for when you run out of ammo) and you will be ok.

When I read my Facebook feed, I feel like I’m in a twilight zone. Nobody cares about the economic devastation. It scares me most.

I called about a big Class A RV today. Not a cheap one either and the salesman told me they are selling left and right and about to be out of inventory and can't get more because manufacturing is slow due to COVID. He's the 3rd one to tell me that in some fashion over the past 2 weeks. Car sales and house sales are insane right now too. People apparently aren't concerned.

He dropped out and he's too old to run again. Someone like AOC would be just as bad though.

It’s really crazy isn’t it? People would rather bitch and moan about masks than go support their local economy and try to keep it from collapsing.

The money we are spending is quite troubling, eventually books have to balance, and the people who think they don't will be screaming when things happen.

And I read today that Biden wants to remove all trump era tax breaks, and increase taxation on small business, so elections matter.

More people are worried about masks in Rouses than destroying more lives and businesses.

Hundreds of people getting together to rip down a statue of some guy that died hundreds of years before they were born is fine though.

We are living in some bizarro world

Two months ago economists were predicting depression level unemployment of 20%-25%. It fell to 11.1% as 4.8 million returned to work last month.

They'll be more bumps along the way, but don't believe everything you hear on tv.

A repeat of the 2008 collapse would be great for me right now.
