King Charles V proposed a European Union about 500 years ago. It never happened because the countries of Europe realized that it was a power grab. Some things just don't change.

Then the fed gov’t would have the ability to regulate the electoral college’s election, not the general public’s elections for their electors.
How the results go up the chain to final confirmation in Congress don't matter, and don't need to have securities confirming only Citizens voted for POTUS matter?

And this creates a massive demand for an easily accessible, national system of ID necessary to prove citizenship at a moment's notice.

La. Citizens of ALL races and ethnicities have used our IDs to vote for years already (and none of the poor blacks have complained).
How do you or SFP suppose the SAVE act will lead to any further or future degradation of privacy?
Great job of conflating and fear mongering to make sure our elections aren't safe guarded.

Who cares. My physical id was electronically printed, it’s not like the government doesn’t already have the data.

Fed already has my ss# and all info for tax purposes.
I really don’t care if they know my hair color and weight.

But you should care if it's Washington DC that decides whether you're a "valid" citizen allowed access to your finances, or whether your vote is "valid"

To 4 cubs and SFP, my sincerest apologies that your candidate lost. If only we could have such an intelligent and strong leader such as kamala the black Indian. We could springboard into communism which we all know would elate your wildest fantasies

it's not tracked until you go to buy 1000 rounds of 45 ACP......then, oops, transaction denied!

I agree with you
My earlier point is showing how the SAVE Act cedes this and creates a large demand for this "national ID".
I don't think people have thought through the SAVE Act because they are their team support it and that's the end of the analysis. I know OP doesn't like the idea of this centralization of power, generally. But notice the apprehension with overlap with a team-based policy.

You think a person advocating for states rights is likely to be a, checks notes , Kamala supporter?

I think it has been sufficiently proven that we're willing to sacrifice pretty much all of it.

Ok...so how would you create a system that verifies citizenship at the ballot boxes?
You don't see how a digitized ID would do this?
How do you think paper/plastic ID can verify citizenship?

We already have that here.
La Wallet has my driver's license, hunting and fishing licenses, vehicle registration, concealed hand gun permit.
