You mean the place we evacuated everyone but about a hundred people since back before the first attack in February? Yeah that doesn't have the kind of depth of defense I'm talking about.

Those bass boat armed wirh machine guns and rockets that everyone likes to laugh at.....some intelligence indicates they have thousands of them. Enough of them swarming kamikaze style dragging mines can do some damage...Just a few of those missles hit a desalination plant....a city in the desert loses water.

Ok Tom Clancy, riddle me this.

Why hasn't that already happened? Get creative.

Because that's bullshite. They were just in the fight of their lives from their perspective. Had they had those boats, they'd have used them. They don't have them. Remember anyone that goes out and attacks a boat with one of those is probably going to die shortly thereafter. Not everyone in the Navy is a jihadist.

Pointing out facts and strategic vulnerabilities isnt rooting against us. NorthKorea has threatened us and the region for years. Would pointing out the risk involved in taking them.on be rooting against us? Unless we detroyed the coastal.bases housing them recently they do. Im ot awaee that we have desteoyed them ....are you? This isn't some shite I made up. They used these tactics during the tanker wars in the 80s. We fricked them up then but they learned a few lessons that may or may not be effective. Will they defeat our Navy ....of course not. Would we blow the shite out of 95% of them...most likely... as far a whether they are Jihadis or not .well they are controlled by the IRGC not the IRIN so they at least lean jihadi....lol

That’s what i dont get. I assume we COULD but would require boots on ground to do so? I cant imagine we are too weak to take what we wanted if we really wanted it. If so thats an awful sign.

Where are they going to build more?
Boom.
Where are they going to launch them?
Boom.
Who's going to drive them?
Boom.
How are they going to get them anywhere near a target?
Boom.

Funny? Without Iran funding & arming its proxies, there’d be no reason for Israel to retaliate.,

"Quit acting like a toddler f you cant argue against my points with out making childish insults go.sit at the kiddie table and let the adults talk."

In 4 weeks we turned the 16 strongest military in the world into the 116 strongest military in the world. They are now Cameroon militarily.

they have no ships. they have no planes. they have no military or nuclear capabilities. they have negligible missiles, particularly ballistic. Their military production facilities, steel and metal fabrication facilities and other manufacturing plants have been decimated.

they have lost 4 rounds of leadership. They claim the gay son of the head guy is in charge but we've seen nothing but a cardborad cut out of him.

their economy is in free fall. Inflation is rampant. They have no interest or ability to fund the proxies they have used for decades.

Eariler you talked about the build up they have been doing for 40 years. We wiped out 40 years of buildup in 4 weeks. And we did so without putting a boot on the ground while losing only 14 brave US souls in the process. We also did it very precisely on purpose with very little loss of civilian life or key infrastructure that would cause human suffering.

This was perhaps they greatest demonstration of military might in the history of the world and it comes on the heels of taking Maduro out of Venezuela like taking candy from a baby.

What's your take on all this............

well yeah but they got some bass boats and some drones. they could really reek some havoc in the strait. Control it. Bring the global economy to its knees.

They exist right now because we allowed that. They are causing minor disruptions right now. if we went in and flattened them like Israel did to Gaza nobody would like that either.

what you want to do is find the "strategic" wrongs with this instead of recognizing it for what it is/was. A US military arse kicking. To the extent they were allowed to kick arse. And to the extent they were not you'd rather second guess the CIC who did what had needed to be done for 40 years rather than give him credit and patience and a little faith to see where things go from here.

So yeah, you are rooting against.

Take your toddler talk and pound it out your arse.

Just the hint of mines made the insurance companies piss themselves but we got ships through every night for weeks when they supposedly had it shut down. If you don't have radar, or you're too scared to turn it on, turns out just cutting your running lights is sufficient because the bass boats aren't coming out looking for you for some reason.

Do you think those proxies just appeared for no reason or did the Israelis do something to cause them to exist?

Granted.

But it was not shut down. And the reason it was slowed was because of the insurance companies, not the realities of the straits.

That's an exaggeration.

Israel and Iran had a pretty good relationship under the Shah. I think something like 60% of Israeli oil supply came from Iran and more than 50,000 Israelis/Jews lived in the country. It wasn't until the revolution that the relationship went to hell.

Same thing, especially from Iran's strategical perspective. People keep trying to separate insurance like it's some unknown or irrelevant variable.

The Trump admin knew better, but their efforts still failed.
