I’m not going to criticize Trump for trying to wrap this up. But, this is why he shouldn’t have gotten into it in the first place. He set in motion something that can’t be controlled now.

Aka … escalation trap

This would be the point where you know Iran is lying. There is no way this would be allowed to happen.

This. That was Trumps whole justification for attacking them. He isn’t going to allow that otherwise it was a complete failure and pointless exercise that cost us billions and 13 American lives

You don't even know where the lies are coming from? Who told the lie? Who are the negotiators and what do they say? Please . . . just let Trump and his team work.

It doesn't matter what was agreed to with regard to Lebanon. Israel was not going to let Hezbollah pull off a coup d'etat. That's non-negotiable.

This is why you can’t make a deal with them and why no deal made with them has ever been successful. You can’t negotiate in good faith with them. In order to move forward, you must finish the job!

Trump agreed to have Pakistan as the mediator so he could call them liars also.

Pretty much.

It is absolutely pointless to try to make any deals with Iran

Except to be able to say we tried before we blow them up.

You should be glad that you in no way come even close to shaping foreign policy......or military policy. Stay away from sharp objects, for your own good.

Why does Iran believe they have demands that have to be met?

Because we started negotiating with them in the middle of a damn war that we were winning and completely obliterating their military — at least in regards to the easy part of said war. We brought them to the table to "make a deal", which signaled to them that there are concessions to be made and put them on much better footing.

You are making baseless assertions, plain and simple. You have no idea what the metrics were for success, what has been achieved, or what the path forward looks like. The people who know all those things are on the job.

We bombed them twice during negotiations and have two people they probably perceive as Israeli agents handling the negotiations.

Ah, I see. You have nothing tangible and opinions and logic have no place in your world.

Carry on, now.

We blew up their leaders because they were enriching uranium. We come up with a ceasefire agreement and Iran thinks we're going to be okay with them enriching uranium? Who's the idiot? Blow up more of them until they get the point, I guess. What's the saying? You can lead a horse to water, but if he doesn't drink, blow him up.

This is why...especially coming from such a position of superiority as the US...once you start the war, there's no cease fire. You fight until the other side surrenders unconditionally.
