Except that Trump's own Defense Intelligence Agency publicly stated that Iran would not have weapons-grade capability until 2035 at the earliest.
I suspect that’s why Tulsi got canned

I would counter with the IAEA report that states that Iran had reached 60% enrichment, which is theoretically a coupe weeks away from 90%.
Antonio calls statements like this “vomiting emotion”. It’s stupidity on a colossal level, so I wouldnt expect to get too far here

I never expect to get very far.
I don't post much, but I quickly learned to post with low expectations when trying to counter someone's narrative on the board.

Myself, along with several other posters called on Trump to hit them with tactical nukes about three weeks ago.
That’s a stupid suggestion. Where would you explode those nukes? Iran doesn’t have massed armies. Would you bomb their civilians who are rooting for us?

It’s beyond time to finish this.

What countries were they attacking before they were attacked?
Well, we could start with their own citizenry. Some estimates are as high as 35,000-40,000 Iranian citizens murdered before we stopped them by pushing their shite in.
Other countries? By proxy, I'm going to guess roughly 6-8 or so.
And before you try to claim that proxy doesn't count, I have four letters for you: USSR.

The uranium enrichment is only one facet in the justification of striking Iran, though.
We could play the woulda/coulda/should game about Trump exiting JCPOA and all the other events that led us to this point in time. I could claim that Saint Barry could have negotiated a better deal initially, and we wouldn't be where we are today.
I mean, if we hadn't cut off oil to Japan, they never would have attacked Pearl Harbor, tight?

Fixed.

This should be the final straw. Time to send the new Ayatollah to where his father is, and turn any areas full of IRGC soldiers into smoldering ash

hell, they don't even have clear leadership in place at this time all their communications have been damaged (according to our intel)
This is the issue even if there are high level officials trying to negotiate in good faith. The chain of command is broken along with communications so they have zero control over what the IRGC does

quote:Yes, we (or I) could claim or suppose a lot of things in hindsight. My retrospective observation was toward a singular statement about negotiating a deal and the irony that this opportunity presented itself in 2018, not about President Obama signing off on one or geopolitics of the 1940s.

Hindsight is always 20/20, so I am not pretending that I have cracked some mysterious code. However, the PRESENT situation is less about the last 47 years and more about the past 8. As a transactional President, I believe he was in an optimal position then to profoundly change the trajectory of the M/E.
