Iran says Hormuz to remain closed until US meets conditions

Al-Jazeera
quote:
The Strait of Hormuz is going to remain closed until the United States accepts Tehran’s seven-day plan to reopen the waterway, Iran’s top negotiator and parliament speaker has said.
The US should know “that the era of wasting time and dictating unilateral demands is over”, Ghalibaf said, adding Iran’s position remains “clear and definite”.
He emphasised that “the Strait of Hormuz will not open until our seven conditions based on the Islamabad memorandum are met”, and that Iran is “present on the military battlefield and will confront them with new surprises”.
Glad to see Iran has us right where they want us.

Meanwhile the straight is 100% open with more flowing through it than before the war

Trust Al Jazeera, trust Iran, or trust CNN and our MSM? Hmm...I just can't decide. Tough choices.

Just like their narrative that they drove us from Iraq.

Take out every regime member asap. I’m over it. Their dictators, that oppress their people, fund terrorists, and commit genocides.
Take them all out and sort it out later

From what we can gather from international news reporting, that does not appear to be a credible statement.
Much of the flow of Middle Eastern oil is redirecting away from the conflict, reducing Iran's leverage. International news agencies, such as the Guardian from England (hardly a "Trump-loving" source), are reporting that while the flow of oil through the Strait of Hormuz is only about 1/3 of pre-war levels, the flow through the Gulf of Oman has gone up by about 300%, making total shipment levels just below the pre-war level.
While Iran continues to have the ability to disrupt the Strait of Hormuz, that disruption does not have nearly the impact that it did at the start of hostilities.
