Yeah yeah. I know what y’all gleaned from it. Every last speck of Iran’s entire military sector has been annihilated. Every soldier, every bullet, every mess kit, every standard issue pair of socks (if they do that - probably not actually)……yep, I heard that too. “Military capabilities have been destroyed”. Every single speck.

Duh, I did. You ignore that it is the same exact argument.

The key difference vs this time is that it is a fact that Iran was developing ICBMs. They admitted it.
Yeah, they have a space program. So?
Most of the countries you would call our enemy are ICBM capable.
We should be working with Iran and not attacking them. Anyone who can rebuild a nuclear program from decimated to imminent threat in 6 months is someone we shouldn't frick with.

Biden released $6 billion in frozen assets to Iran
Solemani was actively killing and maiming our soldiers in a war that did not involve Iran.
60 percent enrichment is not needed for nuclear power.
Iran lies. So no missiles with more than 2000 km range?
Making deals with people that renege on every agreement is the height of delusion.

Rich? It is a fact.
It’s rich because it’s coming from a coalition of people who up until this month had tripled down on isolationism.

And, again, all of this happened after we left JCPOA & escalated with Iran. $6B was prisoner exchange & I’m not defending that. I’m suggesting it doesn’t happen if Trump doesn’t shite the bed in 2018.

Everything in this article is post 2018. I’ve encountered this argument several times & it is basically “see, they stopped following the treaty after we blew up the treaty!”
Appreciate you arguing in good faith though, more cogent points than most.

they have told us for 40+ years why they hate us. They have also told us and shown us repeatedly what they want to do to us. There is no good faith negotiations with religious Zealots
Death to America and all that.
Some of the people in this thread remind me of the frog in the fable of the frog and the scorpion.
quote:
The Scorpion and the Frog is a fable that originated in Russia in the 20th century. It tells the story of a scorpion who asks a frog to carry him across a river. The frog is hesitant, fearing a sting, but the scorpion argues that stinging would drown them both. The frog agrees, but the scorpion stings the frog mid-river, killing them both. When asked why, the scorpion replies, "It is my nature".

Can go back further if need be ...
September 2022: An Iranian rocket attack killed an American citizen in Iraqi Kurdistan.
November 2022: An IRGC captain orchestrated the killing of an American citizen in Baghdad.
March 2023: An Iranian drone attack killed an American contractor and wounded five U.S. service members and another contractor in a strike on a coalition base in Syria.
October 2023: Iran-backed Hamas terrorists killed 46 Americans and kidnapped at least 12 Americans in the October 7th massacre.
December 2023: Iran-backed militias wounded three U.S. service members in an attack on Erbil Air Base in Iraq.
January 2024: Iran-backed Kataib Hezbollah terrorists killed three U.S. service members and wounded more than 40 other service members in a drone attack against the Tower 22 military base in Jordan.
Between October 2023 and November 2024: Iran and its proxies conducted more than 180 attacks against U.S. forces in the Middle East, wounding more than 180 U.S. service members and killing three service members.
November 2024: An Iranian national and IRGC asset was charged for plotting to assassinate President Trump.
June 2025: Iran-backed militias attacked at least three U.S. bases in Syria and two U.S. bases in Iraq.
Pretty simple solution to this problem. Maybe you could place all of these things on a map and figure it out.

You are still ignoring the fact that they were hiding the full extent of their development with us and only showing inspectors just enough to appear to be following the treaty.
Such a dishonest stance on your part, acting like they were being cooperative when they were anything but.

Guys I need your help. I’m finding it difficult to respond to obviously retarded war propaganda in a meaningful way.
Do these people actually think this makes sense?
We argue Iran was not an imminent threat to America.
Iran misses a target ~2500 miles away.
And they don’t just miss.. We have no idea where the missile went.
One failed on its own in flight. The other? No idea, but it was in the general direction of DG, we fired an interceptor at it, no idea if the interceptor worked because the missile wasn’t close enough to anything to see the outcome.
So..We attacked them. Killed their leaders. Killed their negotiators. Killed over a thousand civilians so far. They attack us back- and then we use their retaliations as PROOF that they were an imminent threat?
On top of that- how is this being used as proof of an imminent threat for AMERICA? We might have just seen that they can miss a target in Berlin if they want. Explain why that’s once again first and foremost the responsibility of the American taxpayer.
If this argument makes you feel crazy you’re not alone. You’re being gaslit on a daily basis.
These people think you’re stupid. Give them hell. They deserve it.

Bottom line is that the only thing abandoning the agreement accomplished was remove constraints and visibility + launch a chain of escalations.
And doing so without some sort of smoking gun ironically undermines OUR diplomatic integrity. Iran weren’t the only ones involved with that deal.

I guess it just depends on how valuable an entire continent of supposed allies is to American greatness.
Would letting Islam take over Europe be good, bad, or neutral to the US?

I already did. The epicenter is the world's largest state sponsor of terrorism, Iran.

This argument would hold a lot more water if MAGA could remain remotely consistent on it.
