F-14? Isn't that the Top Gun jet from the olden days?
Yep. From what I understand they have some Russian Migs as well, all of which are not up-to-date and would not do well against our current F-22s, F-35s, and even our older 4th gen F-15E's.

Should have spent the money on torpedo fuel.

That info would have leaked I think. There has been a lot of effort expended to make sure that did not happen.

Only reasonable reply in this thread.

That's how it should be. Someone attacks us we lay waste to every asset they have then go home. If the people suffer, then that is a terrible thing, just like war is supposed to be.
It isn't our job to help rebuild after bringing it all crashing down.
If the President would bomb every Iranian military asset in Iraq then pull chocks, I would be ecstatic. It will not happen because of the optics of a humanitarian disaster from the fighting that would occur once we left.

You are acting like there weren't Iraqi Shia before. Southern Iraqi Shia and Persian Shia have had a long relationship, dating back to the Safavid conversion. But Iraq has always had a sizable Shia population. The notion that the Shia migrated recently is nonsensical.
Reading comprehension can be hard sometimes. At no point did I say that Shia weren't in Iraq. In fact, as stated by Lima, they are the majority. To state, however, that there hasn't been an intensive migration into Iraq from Iran is moronic.

That’s an unfortunate comment. It does not speak well of you.

War is hell, even if it is (still) a "cold war".

Mohammad Al-Shaybani
Muhammad Kawtharani (The Hezbollah's Head of Iraq Activities and chief fundraiser) US Treasury on Kawtharani
That's a very effective strike. Maybe a rare opportunity to have them all in the same place at the same time. Props to the intelligence sources who risked their own lives over this one.
