Soleimani was a potent political symbol though, and I think the Iranians will lose their usual cool.

That's not necessarily definitive. Shia men wearing rings on their fingers isn't unusual, and even extends beyond Twelver Shia to Ismaelis and Zaidis. The rings look slightly different to me as well, as I believe the name of that type of ring is an A-Qeeq or something along those lines.

For three years Trump has talked tough, but gone out of his way to avoid armed confrontation. This feels like a situation where good intelligence provided a target too good to pass up so they blew them up
Fact is, Iran is going down one way or the other. If they get too close to getting the bomb Israel is going to nuke to frick out of them. The suicide cult that is so determined to get the bomb is going to see their country destroyed. Trump is actually trying to save the poor bastards from themselves. Your too busy hating SA and Jews to recognize the how this is going to go down
