Actually, regardless of any non-issue, purported ridiculous uprising, surrounding yourself with men who are trsained to think strategically, follow and issue commands, and are battle hardned and will not blink, seems to be a very intelligent move. The only risk, is how loyal are they to DJT. My guess is they will be VERY LOYAL and will give advice then salute and perform the directives given them.
Great move by Trump. "Militarizing" the Whitehouse (whatever that means) sounds like exactly what this country needs when we continue to fight 3 wars at a time.

IMO Trump has the utmost respect for the generals. He listens to them and in turn the generals take him seriously. I would bet that on policy matters Trump and the generals agree a lot more than they disagree. They are not SJWs.
