It's a weird thing because he IC and military work alongside each other and some military make up the IC even. I'd say from experience that most of the IC is made up of liberal minded individuals while the military is more conservative.

No bullets have been fired thank god, but make no mistake, the IC has been trying to undermine our duly elected President using misinformation, propaganda, collusion with domestic political opposition and the open attempted instigation of insurrection by senior IC officials.

I'd want to make 100% sure I had the military on my side if I were him as well.

You know your president is terrible when he has a 39% approval rating and you have to make up government coup d'etat conspiracy theories to hide the total failure only 6 months in.

Julian Assange has risked his life and freedom to expose the lies and corruption of governments worldwide. He is not a threat to the American people. He is only a threat to the liars and thieves who compose the American ruling class because, unlike mainstream media outlets, he is not a sycophant to the powerful.

Without Assange and Snowden, we'd still be in the dark about the false casualty lists for our Middle Eastern wars, the extent of the NSA spying apparatus, the collusion between companies like Facebook and Google and the IC and how both the American media and political establishment colluded to elect the most corrupt candidate in American history. And after all that, we still have people criticizing him reflexively using the propaganda lines of CNN, IC and DNC shills.

We cannot be a free society without transparency, and Assange has done more for transparency than anyone else I can think of in the modern era.

Blah blah blah, Snowden is a traitor who should be drawn and quartered and Assange is a danger to our country. Just because they posted secrets that you enjoyed learning doesn't mean they are heroes.

They're not heroes because they posted info I enjoyed learning. They're heroes because they have released information that was obviously in the public interest yet hidden from said public, not for any actual national security reason but rather to prevent embarrassing information from coming to light. And they did this at much personal costs to themselves. That is the definition of a hero.

We can all deny that reality, wish it weren't true, and hope that it all goes back to the Constitutional (Individualist/Capitalist/God/Rule of Law version of Government...but the Left is not going to let this go. It has become a form of perceived Universal morality and *equality* for them, across the board. Globalism v Nationalism.

BLM has systematically ambushed Cops while Obama welcomed them into the WH manifold times; and Bernie (Socialist/Marxist/Egalitarian) Ideologues (and naïve and mis-guided College-age dumbarses) reject rational debate/counter opinion and embrace violence even while their Ideological brethren attempt assignation of Congressional opposition.

I oft posited the idea that we are destined for an era - hopefully short in duration - wherein a form of pseudo-Authoritarian Government will be required to address the radical Progressive extremists in our Nation. Seems like it gets closer every day...what with the MSM, Dem Party and Deep State Operatives siding with the Global Egalitarian Ideology.

Trump will own the Military, Civil LE, the Boy Scouts , and traditional patriotic America/Trump Nation; because his Policy serves their interests.

And re war...Hillary was the 'hawk'...not Trump. Trump Nation is SICK of war, as are our maimed Military service people. We should indeed carry a big stick, because that will make it highly more unlikely that we'll have to use. But if the need arises - and there is nothing in the historical record to indicate that it won't - then we'll be on top.

I totally agree with Assange (his assessment)...and Trump's move to circle the wagons. Just in case the Left pushes it.

Warrior Princess with a haymaker of an analysis

Brennan didn't call for a coup. Only fools who pay any attention to B.S. websites like Zerohedge believe that crap.

This is what the Zerohedge article said, completely mis-characterizing what Brennan said:
quote:

"I think it's the obligation of some executive branch officials to refuse to carry that out. I would just hope that this is not going to be a partisan issue. That Republicans, Democrats are going to see that the future of this government is at stake and something needs to be done for the good of the future," Brennan told CNN's Wolf Blitzer at the Aspen Security Forum, effectively calling for a coup against the president should Trump give the order to fire Mueller.

Brennan didn't say anything about a coup. You and the Warrior Princess can't read, and/or are on the same (low) intelligence level.

Unfortunately, the "Called for a coup" crap is floating around the internet, like it's true.

Not explicitly, he's no idiot. Just blew the old soft coup 'dog whistle'. But he'll think twice before spewing his venom now that Trump is effectively gunning up. Screw the traitorous Prog Globalists.

Assange may indeed pose a danger to the US, but without his efforts, HRC would be president. I thank him for that. I see him as more an enemy of the "deep state" whatever the frick that truly is.

So you think that Brennan saying that a Assist. AG should refuse to execute an order to fire a Special Counsel is the "old soft coup dog whistle."

The only thing soft is your head.

Not to mention that in more than one instance in the past both repub and dem AG officials have refused to carry out presidential orders and threatened to quit. None of those were ever (mis) charterized as a "coup".

Yeah because the media is so much worse than war machines and weapons makers with no regard for human life as long as profits and perpetual war are going well. Solid point you dumb frick.

Trump really has some of you guys turned completely upside down.

The people who denigrate Assange and Snowden want to bury their heads in the sand and act like nothing us wrong with the actions of our government.

"Neener neener can't hear can't hear!"

It is pretty disgraceful.
