ETA: ICE policy is, or was, not to require body cams. Border Patrol on the other hand does have a policy requiring them. This was instituted after Mayokas accused his own people of being racist for whipping Haitan illegal aliens from horseback and was pushed by the union, not DHS.
Why doesn't ICE require them? The whole design of the ICE sub-department is to retrieve illegals from detainment of some sort (such as county lockup) and send them home. They were never intended to do much field/street ops- that was BP/DHS in conjunction with local law enforcements. The marxists turned that on it's head, intentionally.
