Funny part about this is the right are the ones trying to enact change and the left are acting like neo cons that want to keep the status quo of the last 30 years.

That's why the "change" definition or even the "wants progress" definitions are dumb.

Hell, using that definition, being pro-life suddenly becomes a liberal position. Wanting to eliminate income tax in favor of the FAIR tax becomes a liberal position.

I think the truth is real “far right” is almost nonexistent in this country. Republicans are more centrist than ever while Dems are more communist than ever.

There is only a sense of far right because Dems have moved so far left. They have gotten further away but are blind to seeing that it’s them doing the extreme moving.

Then why does everyone call people on the right nazi's???? I understand the literal definition, but in practice there will always be someone in control.

The nazis wanted a utopia for Germans, the leftists in Russia wanted a globalist communist utopia.

The means to achieve their goals were the same.

Exactly.

This shite ain't hard.

Draw your basic line segment from 5th grade math but with arrows on each end.

Put the words "towards individual liberty" on the right side and "away from individual liberty" on the left side.

Blammo. Now, it's very fricking easy to figure out what a particular political group is doing.

Many ways to box it in. Here are a few.

Any belief that is anywhere close to the center or right of center.

Any belief that doesn't involve purple hair.

Any belief that involves morals.

Any belief that doesn't involve sex with minors or the killing of minors.

Any belief that doesn't involve racism.

Any belief that involves pride in this country.

Any belief that exposing kids to sex in the classroom.

Not always true, for example a far right person might want to ban Gay Marriage while a Far left person might want to enforce it on bakers.

We're not talking about individuals, we're talking about role of govt.
A person who wants freedom from govt doesn't want govt banning or mandating the right to marry same sex. Do it at your house. Do it at your church. But don't make it a rule.
A person who wants freedom from govt says let the baker make his own rules. If he doesn't want to bake a cake for Chinese people that's OK.

Statist vs Libertarian

Russell Brand just came up with a new term re: Trump's popularity. He called it: 'Nationalist Libertarian.'

Far right or far left to me would be that you believe everyone else must submit to your ideology.

So, for me, they're the same people but they've just attached themselves to different pet policies and beliefs.

PDJT is definitely not a libertarian. And for practical reasons probably.

It's a decent term.

I rather like it.

There are just too many things where there are a conservative and a progressive interpretation that doesn't line up with statist and anarchist.

Who runs the government, volunteer citizens, a bureaucracy, or the rich.

Each one could be paired with a big or small govt vision.

The more nuance one tries to pack into 2 dimensions the more the artificial structure collapses.

Nationalists are patriots. Globalists are not. They both are extreme though.

2nd amendment absolutism is considered far right. Basically, if you believe the USA is a Constitutional Republic(which it is) and not a "Democracy", then you are considered far right by the progressive movement
