Makes you realize the world you live in right quick, doesn’t it? Pretty easy to see nimrods like this being just fine with whatever pay the government decides to “bestow” upon them when the time comes.

For every hour a A10 is in the air it is on the ground for 10, while a formidable threat while in air, on the ground it can be taken out by any yahoo with a deer rifle. Such is the case with most high tech weapons platforms.

If you have ever read the constitution, you would know these are rights every man is given by God. Not bestowed upon you by any king, queen or a government.

I’m not a gun owner but this common kind of thinking is dumb
It’s not a straight up fight with the government (which I doubt many in the military would side with in this hypothetical scenario). It’s the maintaining the peace that’s the issue. An A10 isn’t going to go door to door knocking to check for rebels. The amount of man power needed to patrol a giant country is too much. Especially when you’re fighting people hiding among the populace.
