I suppose businesses not hiring armed security to stop "smash and grabs" could be considered bad management.

Progressives would complain about security guards at a fast food restaurant too.

Should just rebrand and call the blue locations “Smash and Grab Burger”

So as far as Oakland is concerned, it's just

Cubbies at least you are consistent, consistently wrong, but consistent.

So suddenly all these successful chains, are all making bad decisions and hiring bad management, hmmmm.

And who is telling this, some guy from william blair investment, why not ask JP Morgan, Citibank, Wells Fargo, some of these banks that are dealing with the investments of these chains versus someone who is probably being paid by a think tank.

Ehhh... I know you think you've never been wrong before but give me a break.

If this location was profitable, it would not be closing. That's not how capitalism works.

Do we always blame the community when businesses fail, or only if the businesses are in blue cities?

I remember when the flagship Starbucks closed in New Orleans. Starbucks cited "crime" as the reason for closing. Coincidentally, the staff at that location voted to unionize in the months before the closure was announced.

I don't buy the benevolent corporation narrative. I know I get called naive here but it seems like I'm one of the few skeptical posters who doesn't trust any aspect of the government or corporations.

You're a moron.
Crime reduces profitability.
That's how crime works.

Same. I could not believe what a shithole SF has become. Has to be seen to be truly believed

But In-and-Out said that location is busy and profitable. So it doesn't look like crime is impacting their profitability, according to them.

Hundreds of fast food locations closed in 2023. Are you trying to tell me crime is the culprit for every one of them? Or just the closures in blue cities?

Look at you, defending criminality once again.

At least you are consistent in your hatred of law abiding citizens.

Why?

She WANTS this result.

Just like VOR and low/t, they know what voting Dem leads to.

This is a choice on her (their) part.

Yawn. I don’t fit into either party.

Some people are capable of critical thinking.

I don’t need to be told what to think or how to vote by rich people who don’t know I exist.

You tell me. Why are they closing a store they claim is busy and profitable?
