The funny thing is I kind of understand what he actually means.

It probably could be classified as a concert.

As a Christian who listens to Sean Feucht I understand what types of songs he sings (praise and worship) so many people would be able to call it a “worship service” but from a city standpoint it will pull crowds more akin to a concert so thus the situation.

Even Christians would expect say an Amy Grant event classified as a concert.

The problem is that wasn’t his original diction and it left open to interpretation his intent

Pretty ballsy to state this as fact when you yourself have no idea of this is true. I’ll wait your link to the Montreal law that deals with permits, churches, and invited performers by that church. Is this a “public” church run by the state? I no Canada has different laws that the US but it seems your claims are bullshite unless the state owns and runs the church and that doesn’t sound like it’s a thing either.

Where is that written?

Is that law specific to Montreal?

When did having music in a church, regardless of day of the week, require a “permit”? What year?

They're trying to be cute and deceptive by turning the concert into a "worship service" to create the ruse that this was just normal church. It's that simple.

Why would this even matter?

You think only state-run events need permits?

I mean that's why police showed up, ultimately.

Those actually involved aren't even denying this. They're just lying and trying to spin this into normal church activities. If they didn't need a permit, regardless, this ruse wouldn't be necessary.

It’s the whole idea of progressive Marxist ideology which would make a church have to do this. So regardless of the requirement to do it, it’s the fact that it’s needed. If you don’t see the problem then I can’t help you. Unfortunately for you , Kamala didn’t win the election.

You keep saying they needed a permit yet you also linked showing us that the event went on without a permit.

Did the lefty government just decide to be magnanimous that day?

The event "went on" until police shut it down for...not having a permit.

No singing at churches in Canada.

You need a permit for that!

That’s rather tyrannical.

The govt can classify anything they want as an event. If I walk in the door, I’m there for an event. The City of Montreal bows down to baal.

I'm not Canadian, so I don't know about their laws, however, your comment above is pure BS where I live. Our church has had revivals, singing schools, live nativities, vacation bible schools, community suppers, special concerts, etc. and NEVER have we needed or been required to have any kind of permit.

The whole point is the mayor wouldn’t allow him to have a permit which is why he held it in a church. Talk about skewing the facts.

And you think having a socialist mayor has no bearing on this matter at all?

As I stated earlier, post the law that requires a permit for performing in a church.
