So no freedom of religion in Canada?
That is how people are trying to spin this, but that statement isn't applicable.
Churches have to follow general laws in both Canada and the US. They're not exempt from all laws simply for being churches.

Because you fricked it up from the start
Learn what "universally" means.

That blows your "universal" statement out of the water
No, Rog. That comment was towards the host, ie, not excluding churches (as people are trying to argue).
But you're dug in so I'm sure you're going to keep this up no matter how bad it makes you look

which this event clearly did.
How so? What zoning issue was violated. It certainly wasn't due to capacity. So what gives?

bullshite, it was in response to my post which you included "universally" and youre absolutely wrong here.

Did you get your degree from the back of a comic book?
You've fricked up your own argument beyond repair

If you had to pick one group you hate the most is it Trump voters or Christians?

You have to have permits for events universally.
Laws mean nothing, and you know this. People are outraged because you know precisely what would happen if you flipped sides.
Drag show without a permit. You think police are going to show up and warn them?
And you'll say, "but they SHOULD be warned, vis a vis the law and that its wrong not warn them." And you'd be right. But you KNOW what would happen.

Were tickets sold?
quote:
An event is considered "public" if the site owner is a borough, neighbouring municipality or para-municipal organization in the Montréal urban agglomeration. In these cases, the public event organizer must begin the process by contacting the representative in charge of events for the borough, municipality or organization to obtain a city authorization number.
Churches have legal protections in Canada for their gatherings.
No tickets were sold, no food and alcohol were supplied, it was held in a private church building that is used for worship.
Even by Canadian laws this was legal.

Yes. This post

Why would a church need a permit for a singer?
You singled out churches, to segregate them as hosts of these events.

which you included "universally"
Exactly, denoting that churches aren't excluded as you posted.
You are dug in though so I'll just pop some popcorn

Nope. False. Don’t speak for every town in the USA tool.
Many towns in Arkansas host bible workshops at churches and I know for a fact you don’t have to have a permit in one town in particular.
Get your facts straight or don’t spot your BS.
