Yes. What you posted does not oppose what I said. You just said some venues can get a universal permit of sorts that doesn't require them to have individual permits for every event. That is still a permit. So it's within the context of the words of the post you quoted. Also, clearly this church did not have one of those universal permits so it's not even relevant to the story

This is so quintessential SFP.

1. Make a stupid assertion and act all hard
2. Upon questioning, obfuscate and distract
3. When the ship is clearly taking on water - run away

You clearly don't know what "attempting" means, apparently

Have you figured out "universally" yet?

youve been spotted the definition twice

There is no grounds for saying he needed a permit to setup in a church and sing any songs. He wasn’t violating noise level restrictions. There was no disruption by his event to parking or street capacity. He was singing in a church.

This isn’t controversial to say he didn’t need a permit and that the church didn’t need a permit.

All of this.

Setting up a festival or one off type of event or concert in a non traditional location is a different situation that would require special land use and occupancy permits. A church or traditional entertainment venues like arenas, amphitheater, theaters et al do not require special permitting to hold events as long as they follow occupancy restrictions etc.

That's what he claims. While taking the authoritarian position on every single issue.

You probably wouldn't know about that.

I really wonder what he does think a normal worship service is...

This?

But you'll contort yourself into laughable positions to back the authoritarian take every single time. Contrarianism solely for the sake of contrarianism is something most of us gave up before puberty. Maybe you'll get there one day.

Ironically, the government is doing him a huge favor by revoking his permits.

He’s a nobody in the music scene and in Evangelicalism. He had maybe 150 people show up to this event. But the government is giving him outsized media help.

Yeah this totally saves 13 pages of idiocy by you

When drag shows are allowed pretty much anywhere, including PUBLIC LIBRARIES, are "permits" required?

Maybe they're ok because they ATTEMPTED to get a permit.

This thread has turned into a classic SFP brain vomit. A dozen people are battering SFP all over the place but apparently asperger delusion remains undefeated

FTR, all people responding to SFP need to know that SFP can't see the overwhelming rebuttals because you are considered the unwashed masses to SFP. SFP exists in an intellectual stratosphere that can't be bothered by you peasants. That's why SFP continues to defend obviously wrong positions for dozens of pages.

I've seen some pretty impressive talent at the bigger evangelical churches.

Lotta professional musicians, session guys, ex tour musicians.

Of course in the smaller ones your mileage may vary, but they are enthusiastic.

This wasn’t some run of the mill, “worship service.” This guy has a full band, he sold out multiple arenas and stadiums this year

Naw.

This thread isn't an example of that either.

I already said that what's worse than zoning/regs is people who skate zoning/regs by lying.

So now if you want to prove you are correct, you will provide evidence that LEO is turning a blind eye.

I know you can't which means you are wrong either way, yet again

Like these? You don't think those have permits?
Look at you, all trying to bring some evidence. Except it's stupid.

Most of those events are not churches and even if you want to cite the ones that are, you still haven't proven that all the artists who perform EVERY WEEK in churches across the country need permits for every single one of those performances. Go on now. Go find those permits. Scoot!
