Is there any scenario where sending in 6000 troops doesn't end in disaster at this point? We have a single air-strip at a commercial airport, where nations from around the world are actively using to evacuate.
Will the Taliban not view this as an escalation of war? If they feel that way, that one air strip will be pummeled within minutes. Unless they plan on taking back Bagram and establishing an escape route, what is the actual plan here?
I have no faith whatsoever they have a plan to get these guys out and I feel like their presence could easily make it worse

In his defense, he’s right, there is no seemingly good time to leave a war of attrition like this. But I just don’t hear any fricking balls or conviction in how he says it. Joe just comes off as an empty shell of an old man and I just could never believe in him.
