Once a trial has started all business must stop. We were beat over the head with this last time. Remember how much they complained about campaigning The Senate can not split days up they must complete trial first.

I agree and I have said all along even if they vote to convict it can be appealed to SCOTUS and Roberts has clearly stated where he stands already.

I am glad someone else gets it - this is all about the donor list. They want the donor list for 2022 and Nikki Haley.
The problem is I would imagine most Trump donors are TRUMP donors, not Republican donors.
I get blasted emails from the RNC multiple times a day, how they got my email I don't know, Trump is the only Republican I have ever donated to.

I absolutely believe this is what woll happen. Look at what the dems did in the House last time. These Democrats have no shame, scruples or desire to put on a "fair impeachment"! This is a political sham and will be run that way.

I can’t believe that this is the country that I grew up in. Politics have always been dirty business, but what we are witnessing over the past 10 years is flat out inconceivable.

I am hearing that Graham actually wants witnesses but only to drag the trial out saying that would hurt Dems more in 2 areas.
Trial delays hurts passing unfavorable Bills and witnesses are only media "reports" and witnesses supposedly must tell the truth.
Dems were bluffing and maybe hoped for a 50-50 vote so they could claim the high ground. Nevertheless it is all theatre anyway.
