I'm starting to change course on Trump's mean tweets

For the record, none of it bothers me on any personal level what so ever. I am strictly interested in results, and would elect the corpse of Vlad the Impaler if he was able to stop illegal immigration and fix inflation.
But as for Trump and the constant dumbass distractions he creates for himself, like this latest attack on Kayleigh, it actually has some practical implications.
The issue I see is he had a terrible track record on personel, and him continuing down this path, and going after someone like her over a dumbass poll, tells me we likely won't be getting better personel in a theoretical 2nd term.
He's going to have major issues hiring anyone other than phony arse kissers, who will flatter and woo him, and call him "Mr. President" , but will secretly be working behind the scenes to undermine him every step of the way.

I'm getting weary of him turning of people who've had his back. Perhaps the final straw was when he dumped on Princess Kayleigh.

He needs to back away from politics

I don't mind the venom towards progressives, I just wish he'd not bear his fangs at conservatives.

quote:I'm definitely not defending his "mean tweets" (I personally don't like them at all), but his presidency was characterized by having his people and his party trying to undermine him at every step of the way, so I don't think his tweets are going to change that one way or another.

Part of the problem with staffing as President is that most of the "qualified" people are those who are already in politics (usually part of the swamp), and those that aren't, would need to rely heavily on personnel that are in the swamp.

it's all 15D chess moves. There is a reason for everything he does. He methodically schedules everything at the perfect timing for everything he does.

How many times can you change course towards the same direction? Haven’t you already gone down this road a few times already? I.e. changing your position on Trump? What’s the deal here??

Another low testosterone Ronbot that voted for Brandon. Sad.

If someone could some how explain the logic, and maybe it's a super secret 4D chess move, and by him doing it somehow secures the border, I would be OK with it. No hurt feelings from me, if there are results because of it.
But we all know it isn't that. It's just his dumbass ego, and self destructive personality burning bridges that don't need to be burned and will come back and bite our movement in the arse later on.

This is Trump's problem which contributed to his loss in 2020 and why he needed Jill Stein to help him sneak over the finish line in 2016. There are a lot of people who agree with him on most issues, but they are tired of the drama and hate the man.
In 2016 and 2020, over 5.5 million people voted for at least 1 down-ballot Republican but not Trump. The vast majority of these voters would've otherwise voted for him if he stopped the nonsense.

Which begs the question of why should anyone vote for him to be the GOP nominee in 2024 since he has an atrocious record of hiring people.

Buck Sexton said on his show yesterday that he's very concerned about the people who are close to Trump. He knows some of them personally and said they just tell Trump whatever he wants to hear.
That's also on Trump, though. No one held a gun to his head and told him to hire those people. He hired them because his talent evaluation, if you will, when it comes to building a staff is horrendous. If he were a SEC Football coach and his recruiting matched his hiring ability, he might have worse records than Vandy. If 2017 was his first year coaching, he would've been fired by 2020.

There are waaay more moderate, average folks out there who will just NOT bring themselves to vote for someone that they personally can't stand, than there are hard core, "short-thinking" far righters.
I'll vote for Trump if he's the Republican name on the general election ballot, BUT I sincerely believe that we conservatives will be making a HUGE mistake by hanging our hopes on Trump to win!

This right here.
Folks he brought in previously took shots for him for years. Now he flips on a dime. Flipping is fine but dont throw them under the bus and run them over.
No need to make it personal against folks that helped you previously

If Trump is the nominee and he loses and we also leave winnable House and Senate seats on the board because of his presence on the ballot, we will deserve that.

He expects loyalty. Yet he’s loyal to nobody. He’d throw Ivanka under the bus with a quickness.

If he's going to win the primary he needs every single vote he can get, not just his lemmings that excuse everything he does. And there's no way he is gonna get those votes, not just because of the tweets (or truths). Most of the country doesn't like him
