I'm sick of the term 'He's not acting presidential.'

And I hear it from the GOP as much as the Dems. Hell, my brother and one of my golfing partners (both conservative republicans) hate Trump because 'What he said was not Presidential.'
When I hear the term I substitute the word 'Politician'. I hear 'He's not acting like a politician!"
Well, the country was founded by a bunch of men who were not politicians. There was no such thing as a professional politician.
For all of my life I've heard people bitch "I hate politicians." Well, now you have a President who isn't one and you're still bitching.

I actually consider that phrase to be a compliment. Darn right he’s not acting Presidential (or like a politician). That’s why America is starting to win again!

They should be more precise as to what they mean. Everything he does is, by definition, presidential because WE ELECTED HIM TO BE PRESIDENT.

Nobody cared about ‘acting presidential’ when Obama said, “at least I will go down as president” and did a mic drop. Libs jizzed themselves over it just like when Hillary tweeted “delete your account”. The job of the President is to lead, not sit on his hands, close his mouth and be a punching bag for the Dems. Furthermore, Trumps base doesn’t want him to shut up and just take it. They voted for him because they wanted a fighter. They wanted someone who would hit back at Dems

I miss the hundreds of years of having Presidents act 'presidential', all the while giving it to the whole country from behind. What these folks are telling you is that they want to be told a nice pretty story about bunnies and rainbows while they are being railed.

The media gets mad at him for not being “presidential” and then get offended when he calls them fake news, maybe they should be better reporting
