I know a few handymen who are struggling because they pay taxes, GL, workers comp, etc like they should and can't compete with the Hondurans in the Home Depot parking lot offering to do it cheaper.
Cheap immigrant labor is going to crush a lot of service businesses.
There are tons of factors for any industry to consider and some of them are escalated by bad policy.

Have you tried adjusting your business to helping illegals cross the border or washing money for Ukrainian, if not we can’t help with government funding. On the other hand what do you do? Haven't read the thread, but I hope you're prepared for the "how can you be banrupt, you're a rich business owner!" People think owners all have biz jets. The reality is we are the last to get paid. I remember making payroll (phew!) but not having enough money for rent, and raiding the truck ashtray for change to buy food.
