She has a degree in Economics from Boston University. Why wasn't she about 5 years into a career in her chosen field by then? Did she start to school at a later date than normal?

Just curious. I've never heard her address that.

Because she probably graduated bottom 5% of her class and lacked drive to get any other certifications to drive her skill set higher.

Or refused to do entry-level work that paid less than slanging beers and getting pounded by randoms every night.

Nothing wrong withmaking an honest living, including tending bar, at any age...

Unless you're so ate up with hyper-narcissistic illusions of grandeur that you actually consider yourself qualified to draft civilization altering federal legislation.

Because she's a couple of tacos short of a Fiesta Platter.

Yes and no. It depends on instructor/professor/Dept to be honest. I'm 31 and there's a bunch of fricktards in classes though.

Obama jobs policies. Ironically, she would have much more opportunity in Trump's economy.

It really is astounding that basically, a college dropout, is in Congress. And not that being a dropout is bad, but being colossally stupid, and a dropout, is what is unbelievable. I still don't believe for one second that A) she has a degree and B) it's in economics.

Look at who was running the federal government as she was finishing up college and what they preached. Probably played a big part. Congress is the largest community organizer in the country.

My guess is the econ degree is from the liberal arts college and not the business school. Pretty big difference between the two.

There are a lot of idiots with college degrees. It's all about putting asses in seats and getting that tuition money.

If a university is failing people out, they lose out on that tuition

Actually, I knew someone similar about 15 years ago. She tended bar in a run down dive on the bad side of town.

She said because she was reasonably cute and friendly, the old men who frequented the joint kept throwing money at her. She ended up making $200-300 a night for a 6 hour shift.

People asked her why she worked in such a dump, and she always asked them "are you making over 40 bucks an hour where you're working?"

I know several bartenders that make 6 figures

I don't see a problem if it's a lifestyle that you are cool with

anecdotal evidence is anecdotal

getting an econ degree from BU and tending bar is a waste.
