Even from your own damn link:

quote:

Drafted by the Constitutional Convention in 1787 and subsequently ratified by the states, the U.S. Constitution includes this passage from Article I, Section 2:

Representatives and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States which may be included within this Union, according to their respective numbers....

Continuing from your own link:

quote:

Apportionment Population

The apportionment population base always has included those persons who have established a residence in the United States.

Sir people here illegally can not establish LEGAL residence within the USA.

Courts have already decided that

It's an elegant solution. Almost too elegant to have come from our government.

FEB. 7, 2018 — The U.S. Census Bureau is required by Article I, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution to conduct the decennial census in order to be able to apportion seats in the U.S. House of Representatives among the states. To that end, it is crucial to count everyone in the right place during the decennial census.

The Census Bureau released a decision memo and posted a Federal Register publication that is available for public inspection that explains where people will be counted in the 2020 Census. The “residence criteria” are based on the concept of “usual residence,” the place where a person lives and sleeps most of the time. This place is not necessarily the same as the person’s voting residence or legal residence.

FOREIGN CITIZENS IN THE UNITED STATES
a) Citizens of foreign countries living in the United States - Counted at the U.S. residence where they live and sleep most of the time.

Anything else?

The traditional census does that. This EO will have nothing to do with allocation of funding or representation in Congress lolol

It doesn't get much simpler, and he still doesn't get it.

Typical obnoxious Dem who thinks he has a grasp on things but doesn't even understand the fundamentals of how government works.

It's crazy how many of these fruitcakes believe they are enlightened and want to teach us.

With all due respect there Mr Mickey you must be like ten years old and haven’t taken a basic civics or government class. The Constitution places the responsibility for the census on the Executive Branch. That’s the President for you guys from Loma Linda.

The census will tell the USA how many people are here.
But does it tell you where they’re at since the census is used for congressional appropriations?

What you’re describing is basically what the census bureau does every year when they estimate populations by state, county, and city. At the same time, those estimates aren’t as reliable as the official census and they would become even less reliable without the census to recalibrate them every 10 years.

But that’s irrelevant to the purpose of the census.

Regardless, the census will be done just like it always has been, and will count citizens and non-citizens, whether people want it to or not.

What amazes me about all of this is , so many people don't understand what the census is used for.

1. It determines how much Federal money (taxpayer money) a state gets.

2. It determines how many House seats a state gets.

I also think it's used to determine how many electoral votes a state receives in the presidential election. Not sure of this but I will try and look it up.

The illegal shite is getting old , states who allow sanctuary cites should get ZERO tax dollars (taxpayer money).

Does someone want to make an apportionment map that excludes illegals?

That would be interesting to look at.

It is since states’ electoral voters are their number of congressional seats plus their number of senate seats (which is obviously always 2).

Thank you , so the Census does play into the presidential election.

Thats nice dear.

What did "residence" mean at the time of the writing of the Constitution?

In the scope of that definition of "residence"...did the Indians have "residence" in the land, or nah?
