I would have cheered if Comey had been charged.

And what exact crime are we talking about possibly or possibly not being charged here? Has anyone actually specified the precise crime? No asshoe, serious question. It’s very possible that I’ve missed the reference(s) to said specific crime (i.e. federal statute).

And don’t take my question the wrong way. I loathe that scumbag poon.

There would not have been riots. Nobody rioting over a rich white dude. Mainstream media, however, would have lost it.

Your question is fair. It's unfortunate you have to qualify it with that.

18 USC Sect. 115 for starters.

quote:

18 U.S. Code § 115 - Influencing, impeding, or retaliating against a Federal official by threatening or injuring a family member

quote:

(a) (1) Whoever— (A) assaults, kidnaps, or murders, or attempts or conspires to kidnap or murder, or threatens to assault, kidnap or murder a member of the immediate family of a United States official, a United States judge, a Federal law enforcement officer, or an official whose killing would be a crime under section 1114 of this title; or (B) threatens to assault, kidnap, or murder, a United States official, a United States judge, a Federal law enforcement officer, or an official whose killing would be a crime under such section, with intent to impede, intimidate, or interfere with such official, judge, or law enforcement officer while engaged in the performance of official duties, or with intent to retaliate against such official, judge, or law enforcement officer on account of the performance of official duties, shall be punished as provided in subsection (b).

Mmm that might be just a tad over the top. I see where you’re going with it, but you way overselling it. In fact, there is an ideal level of care and concern to be paid to the guy and this matter, and it’s somewhere between the approach that you’re currently lambasting, and the one you just endorsed. Probably right smack dab in the middle of those two ends.

Any updates on Mahmoud Khalil? I hope he’s enjoying his time in CenLa. He’s going to really enjoy summer here.

You do realize that he’s going to lie and act like he was thrown in a gulag anyway right? When he does his media tour the people watching will be made to believe what happened to him was worse than what should’ve. Can’t believe you guys still don’t see the game.

As I reflect upon it now, I do find it a regrettable statement. But only because I neglected to recall your overall view and opinion of Trump (and by extension his supporters, perhaps with an exception or two amongst your personal orbit.

Let’s presume for a moment that you were the “average” Trump supporter on this board. In that case the point of my qualifier is to attempt to bypass a not-so-rare knee jerk reaction insofar as the erroneous presumption that with my post I’m somehow defending Comey. Catch my drift?

Now that right there is probably the most astute remark made on the topic all day. That’s typically a “slam dunk” case/charge, and tags one a felon. Which if you’re going by his and his cohorts own standards, that’s a really, really, really, really bad thing to be labeled - as they preached endlessly about Trump.

Well yeah, completely. That's why I posted that. You asked a reasonable question about wether or not Comey broke the law and around these parts, if you don't qualify a question like that by making it clear you find James Comey a shitbag, these folks will think you in some way support him.

I won't do that sort of thing. A fair question or a good point shouldn't have to be qualified like that.

What's he gonna lie about man? Do you think the Secret Service is gonna sweat something out of him, him and his team of lawyers?
