100%

They must think Trump is going to win.

Where is he wrong?

Where he said "most" Republicans don't want to win. Most Republicans are fighting their asses off to stop the Democrats.

Pence, Romney and a small number of RINO's don't represent MOST republicans.

It seems like they like to be just under the majority in congress with a dem president. That way they can sky scream that "this next election will be the most important ever" and ask for donations to stop the evil democrats. Just keep sending us money and we will make sure we are close enough to make conservatives believe we have a chance. Then they get to play the victim card and say we cant get anything done because the dems have the majority. Its so frustrating.

Is that a "RINO" thing or a hardcore conservative thing?

I have heard plenty of people on this board wanting to purge the party of RINOs, even if that means they are a permanent minority.

Not that some of that impulse isn't healthy. You need to balance the desire to win at all costs vs what will you accomplish if you win.

Go too far to one side-if might win, but you have no agenda, no "soul" if you will.

Go too far to the other-you won't win because you can't enlarge your base because you are too puritanical.

maybe not most, but a large portion of them. And they continually put leaders up that most certainly aren't for uniting the party and taking control. McConnel and Graham are about as useless as they come. Hopefully Trump is able to overcome the dem cheating and the RNC sabotage and become president again. Then we will see how many of these republicans fight against him. Hell, id be willing to bet if he wins, some of them will switch parties. Its disgusting and they don't even try to hide it anymore.

The house (Republican controlled) just passed the latest omnibus bill. All 1,000 pages of it.

Conservatives? I think not.

Uniparty? Absolutely.

“House appropriators breathed a sigh of relief Friday as the House narrowly passed the massive $1.2 trillion wrapup spending package under suspension of the rules, which requires a two-thirds majority.

The chamber passed the 1,012-page bill by a vote of 286-134, with 101 Republicans and all but 22 Democrats backing the bill”

Those whom you speak of are uniparty and are only concerned with the status quo. Doing whatever it takes to protect the federal government grift & power system.

Republicans are the exact same as the democrats the only difference is the pace at which they move to the left

It drives up donations to be able to generate outrage against the party in power.

Same observation has been made and stated about Democrats. The party and politician might actually benefit financially if Trump is elected this year. Then the rallying cry to “save democracy from Trump” will likely generate more donations than “let’s support President Biden’s 2nd term”.

You mean abortion zealots, right?

Let's be clear who we're talking about.

To use a football analogy......even when Republicans get the stop on 4th down, they just take 3 knees and punt the ball right back. They don't ever take the ball down the field and score. They just like playing defense.

What can the conservatives do? They don't control the White House, the Senate, and don't have enough seats in the House. The Democrats are in complete control and only need to swing a small minority of RINO votes. Closing the Gov is a losing position for conservatives and would be a losing position in Nov.

All they are doing is kicking the can (correction) down the road.

They could be the party to take a stand against the skyrocketing deficit but I suspect they are making too much money on the side to care.

It’s going to correct itself eventually. Maybe we will get it right next time.

We knew that when they overturned Roe V Wade.

But the voters also don’t want to win. We knew that when Trump won the nomination in a landslide. No other Republican candidate would be getting less than 330 EV’s against either Biden or Kamala. As a side note Newsom is another story but there’d be riots passing up the first black female president.

Maybe. I guess we can hope for that, at least.

But a razor thin margin in the House alone is not enough for Republicans to push any agenda.

If Republicans can win the House and Senate, then we can hope for maybe.

A sure sign that the Democrat game plan of making whimps second guess themselves is very effective.

Who's they? SCOTUS or the GOP in Congress? Should the latter have told the former to uphold Roe?

It will take Americans standing in soup lines for people to change.

Just my opinion……

We elected these clowns. It must be what the population wants.

National GOP loves nothing more than being the loyal opposition. Been that way for a long time.

We have no leadership in the GOP on a national stage.
