If a dollar more is going to break you, you really can’t afford to drive. You need to take the bus.
Don't lie, if the Climate Change Democrats mandated 15% of the refineries in the US had to shutdown, you wouldn't be saying that about $1 more in gas.

I pointed this out a week ago and the wee DVQ's bombed my post. Now they are hitting yours. It is simple truth and they don't like it for some reason.

I'm using a borrowed Kubota track hoe to do work on my farm. Diesel is $5.39 a gallon. It was full when I started Sunday. Yesterday I put in two 5 gallon cans to fill it back up. Looking at all the work that thing has done this week (dug out a HUGE stump with a root ball over 6 feet in diameter, digging 30+ feet into a sloping hillside to put in a 10x20 root cellar, digging drainage ditches, installing culvert, digging six 12" deep footers 15 feet long to sit a pre-built 16x40 building on), I'd GLADLY pay over $100 a gallon. No way I would do all that work with a shovel for a thousand bucks.

Has a Trump sticker on it as well, then blames Biden.

I am sure that OP raised this issue during the last admin, when gas prices were much higher?
Oh he definitely brought it up …. and blamed it on the last republican. Taking responsibility is something Democrats are not accustomed to.

One month later, he pulls up to the same pump and fills up with fuel that costs $3.89/gal. He stops and scratches his head with a “hmmmph”. He pays and moves along.
this is the problem with the middle class no longer paying income taxes, it lulls you into a sense of being able to afford things that you really can't.
i see it every day. people driving cars and trucks that they can't afford. gasoline is trading in the same range it's been in for 20 years. can you afford the insurance on your car? what about the sales tax? in arkansas we're changing our state bird from the mocking bird to the expired temporary tag.
let me lay it out pretty clearly boy, if you can't afford the sales tax, the insurance, and the gasoline on your car, you can't afford the car. there's more to owning a car than the monthly payment.

You think raised gas prices only affect people at the gas station?
I doubt they gaf, this is all just a proxy for Trump. When prices were high under Biden it was terrible, if/when they get high under Trump you get "don't be poor" responses. 100% predictable.

Fill it up half way and then come back in 3 or 4 days and do it again. Makes it seem better.

quote:In 1983, minimum wage was $3.35 and gas was $1 a gallon. After taxes, an hours work would provide about $2.50. An hours work would buy 2.5 gallons of gasoline. Last week, I saw a sign at McDonalds that said starting pay $15. Gas here is around $4. After taxes, an hours work will provide about $10. That $10 will buy 2.5 gallons of gasoline today.
But eggs are cheap.

We'll see about the short term aspect. If the strait isn't reopened gas prices will be the least of your concerns
What will be my greater concerns?

The difference is this is permanent policy dems want to enact.
Your prices at the pump won't stay this high.
The bigger problem rt now would be how long diesel stays high. But you guys think product gets shipped to you with wind.

Yeah, I've said the same thing. I don't care for all the be in politics.
Well... politics is pretty much 100% bs to begin with, so.....

Because prices were actual higher under the last two democrat presidents.
See I can say, gas prices are higher, it sucks. But it was worse before. You are incapable of that. And that's 100% predictable from you.

What would the OP do if Iran had nuclear weapons and then shut down the straight? $10 gal gas forever instead of temporary.

It's like Trump is being punished because gas was historically low for several months.
