Again, land doesn't vote.
Sure it does - each State gets 2 seats in Congress regardless of population, just the fact that they exist and have land.
Then they get Representatives based on population.
Electoral Votes are cast based on the outcome of the general population. The districts should reflect the general population.
There is a saying: "Voters chooses their politicians, with gerrymandering, politicians choose their voters."

What? That doesn't mean anything with respect to the House.
It doesn't matter how many counties are red when the amount of people in those counties are less than one precinct of Chicago. It is an idiotic way of discussing American politics.

It was to provide context.

I didn't mention counties, I mentioned proportion of vote of the population.
But you can make a valid statement that States are to the Country as Counties are to the State. And should be treated the same.

Even after helping the democrats on the j6 committee, they gerrymandered Adam kinzinger out of his district. Illinois democrats are something else.

Grass doesn't vote.
It probably should. Property ownership should matter more than being an apartment dwelling resource sucker…

Except large cities
i.e. - Where most of the people are.
How many of those large red counties equal less than half of Chicago?

I asked this long ago. Why couldn’t states have an internal electoral college? They either don’t want it, or it isn’t constitutional I guess.

I would love to start with a clean constitution
I would love for you to think this through.
It’s like when people say, “there ought to be a law“.

I think they could, state level voting is controlled by the states. But again, the party in power won't vote to reduce their power.

Places like chicago need to be city states. I've posted numerous time on this topic.

The whole country is mostly red. I bet even California has more red counties than blue.

Not clear on what a county is?

Why do some cling to the non-scaled red/blue county map as if it means something about the number of people voting R or D?
The tiny spec of blue Los Angeles county has more people than several red states combined.
Have any of you ever ridden through those huge red counties in Arizona and seen firsthand how few people live there?

This is a thread about gerrymandering right? Think real hard.

Wait until you learn about population density

Nah. Just go to mixed member-proportional representation in the House, and increase its size to 650 or 700 to account for it.
Would you build a new capitol building for it?
