I'll vote for any politician that has not gotten rich off their office. Or I'll write in a vote of no confidence in our system.

That's all I'm gonna vote for for the foreseeable future.

You understand that history I replete with totalitarian regimes that were good for business, right? Shitting on your rights as a human being and an American, but being good for business, is not something I’m interested in.

In all honesty, I kinda like that it's tanked as I'm in my very early 40s and still have 2 decades to put money into 401ks and such. Buy low, sell high premise.

However, my parents who use these financials in retirement, ouch, I wish it was back up for them.

Just to be clear, is this a general point of information, or are you directing this totalitarian accusation towards a particular American party?

What if I told you that the sugar high that Trump injected into the market (tax cuts, less regulation, and federal stimulus) is part of the reason that the S&P is currently down?

Balance the budget, deregulate, cut taxes, and generally stay out of the way. That's what we need.

Republicans are not the solution to all of your problems,

but demoCrats are definitely the cause of all of your problems.

If Democrats succeed in destroying the planet, the stock market won't matter.

Did either party put a stop to the totalitarian COVID policies? Did either party do anything about states violating their own election laws? Has either party sought to abolish all federal gun laws as infringements forbidden in the constitution? Has either party upheld the constitutional mandate to defend our borders and protect us from invasion? Has either party done a damn thing about businesses violating First Amendment rights of Americans?

I can keep going, but the days of supporting a candidate because of the R behind their name are long gone for me. Any vote I cast will be earned, and making me a slave, even a rich slave, is an abomination to me. And it is obvious that the Republican establishment is learning well the democrat lesson that Americans will accept oppression as long as they are entertained and distracted.

I'm not. I'm just far, far more 'conservative' than the liberal Republicans that yall keep voting for. You know, Trump, Romney, McCain, Graham, McConnell, etc, etc, etc

I don’t believe you, but also, Trump isn’t a conservative, but he was actually more conservative than Reagan in effect.

It's not just for this reason. The GOP's faults are manifold, but they are not forgiving student loans, promoting insane green energy programs that will weaken our nation and drive up energy prices WITHOUT DOING ANYTHING TO DECREASE GLOBAL WARMNING (*this is based on the numbers in the UN climate report, not some right wing website), or promoting the scourge of identity politics. I could go on and on. These are things that exist or would exist in our laws/policies if Democrats had their way. If you are in a safe district/state and want to register a protest vote, fine. Otherwise, vote Republican even if you have to hold your nose while doing so.

I guess I’d ask you, at what point does acquiescence become complicity to you?

We had both houses of congress and the presidency in Trump’s first 2 years. Name for me any conservative policy that was enacted, that Trump didn’t do by fiat?

Did we repeal Obamacare?

Did we build a physical barrier to slow down the invasion from the south?

Did we spend less money?

Did we make the government smaller, less powerful, or less corrupt?

Did we do anything at all to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution, as written, from infringements, usurpations, and violations?

I’ll vote for any Republican over a Democrat, many times reluctantly. I guess I’m in the slow the bleed camp rather than the let’s just get this thing over with camp.
