I mean, yes assitant coaches are also "coach" but if anyone on the HS football field says go's see coach, everyone knows they aren't referring to the 24 y/o ST coordinator and RB coach.

bullshite. I still call the volunteers who were still in college “coach.” There was a police officer who only showed up on Friday nights and filmed but helped us get organized for drills I still call Coach.
There are lots of legitimate shite to be talked about that guy, but him calling himself coach isn’t one of them.
It’s a dumb talking point.
