70s-80s here.
Nobody w/ gender dysphoria. Definitely some gays, who, though closeted, everyone knew.
Genuinely gay or just playing the part for attention?

I graduated in 1994. No trans. No gays. A couple suspected that later turned out to be straight. A friend’s parents divorced because his mom caught his dad with another man. It was a small town scandal and the dad moved out of town to be openly gay and my friend stayed with his mom.
There was a major outbreak of lesbianism on the girls basketball team about 5 years after I graduated.

Zero. None. Nada. Zilch.
There was a girl... everyone said she thought she was really a horse, but that's because she was butt ugly and had buck teeth.

Not gender related but the ones that we had suspicion that were gay ended up being gay when they finally came out of the closet. None of that crap was prevalent like today where over the last 15 years they tried to normalize it especially through Disney Family and other kid networks. Even my kids that are now 18 and about to be 20 mention how they couldn't stand how all that crap was trying to be pushed down their throats for acceptance as normal.

We had one. Very effeminate male. Lived a few houses down from me, so we rode the same bus. Kid went through absolute hell daily. Eventually I ended up protecting him from the worst of it. Years later he told me I saved his life, because he was catching hell on the bus and decided he was going to kill himself. When I got on the bus, I made the others leave him alone.
He is the reason that I believe to this day that some gays are born that way. Nobody would take the abuse, both physical and mental, that he took. Nobody.
Coupled with the fact that never in my life, from my earliest years, did I ever even consider that there was a choice in who I was attracted to. My first crush was my aunt, when I was 3 or 4 years old. I’m not saying that none of them, probably even most of them chose to be that way, but some of them didn’t. Ask anyone who believes they all choose to be that way, at what age were they themselves debating their own sexuality and chose to be straight. I’d bet most are like me and never made a conscious choice. I don’t know why it would be hard to believe that it was the same but the opposite for others.

Late 80s. There was one gay kid. He said he wasn’t gay. He was gay. That’s it.
Now that crap is all over the place. They are being groomed in school, on social media, and by the entertainment industry.

Graduated high school in 71. Had never heard of gender dysphoria.

Mid 1980s large High School in Lafayette, a few gays for sure that mostly kept their head down but zero trans.
I think it’s mostly the culture encouraging it instead of treating it as a mental illness.
But wouldn’t rule out external factors also. Maybe it’s in the new vaccines that we never had to take back in the day.
Didn’t AJ say they were making the frogs gay?

gender dysphoria
Is that a fancy name for when we crossed streams in the pee trough or played piss hockey with the puck?
That is the psychiatric term that has been in the dsm (disease manual) for decades. Democrats don't like remns that confirm mental illness so they make up shite like transgender

Zero.
This is a sick grooming operation by the left. It is evil. I’m talking spiritually evil. Demonic. From Satan.
Matthew 18:6-7:
(Jesus Christ speaking):
“Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.”
“Woe to the world because of things that cause sin! Such things must come, but woe to the one through whom they come!”

Either you are gay or straight. Everything else is just fashion.
There were none that I knew of, and I went to 3 different High Schools in three different states.
I graduated with a guy that was gay. He wasn't out of the closet, but everyone knew...
