FIFY. Not every black male goes to prison so that excuse is invalid.

OK, I'll bite.

What effect do you think stricter gun control laws would have on the black male prison population?

I don't have the numbers, but try removing white on black crime and see how much that moves the needles.

I understand what you’re saying but what is society supposed to do... not have law violators punished.

The vast majority of people in prison are there for a reason and most of them get a lighter sentence than their crimes deserved. For example the black guy that just got the light sentence for throwing the kid off the balcony. A few years from now he will also be represented as being a victim of the “evil for-profit prison system”.

Everyone agrees that the harsh sentences for shite like selling weed was overwhelming but these cases are nowhere near the majority of the people in prison.

clueless child. Let me help you out: the "mass" amount of data you imagine exists is mostly bullshite and inconclusive, the Rand Corporation and the CDC have published relatively recent reports that have looked at the best available studies and have found nothing conclusive on a variety of commonly suggested policies involving firearms. Gun-control laws have never impacted crime the way their supporters tout.

I wonder where all those black fathers go? Could it possibly be to our for-profit prison system designed to lock away men of color for minor offenses?

That would be too easy. Some people just aren't responsible enough to do that.

Don't you think that by limiting the number of guns in the black market that can price out a certain percentage of criminals from obtaining them?

How about we put in prison anyone who commits ANY VIOLENT CRIME for a LONG time. If these bad people are in prison, guess what? They aren't committing any other crimes. Yes it is expensive to lock someone up for 20 years but what is the cost of that person being on the outside? With the crimes they commit, the welfare or assistance they may be on, the cost to imprison them is probably negligible.

We as a society have made laws and we have expectations of what behavior should be allowed. We should enforce it with a heavy hand. Spare the rod, spoil the child.

And you’re ignoring the OP. Quite literally banning Black males from Chicago would have far more effect in reducing their murder rate than some of the most restrictive gun laws have had.

No one is suggesting such a horrible thing (banning people by race and gender). But there are ways to address the problem in a positive manner they doesn’t involve trampling on the rights of millions of people that obey the laws.

How does “prison” force people to commit crimes?

If you stopped paying people to breed, regardless of skin color, all crime would take a dip.....

So, you responded to a post that included actual numbers and just decided, "frick it, I'm gonna pretend they aren't there?"

Just wait until they are the majority in America.

It'll be a wakanda-esque Utopia.

If white people hadn’t enslaved blacks, and then set them free without compensation, we wouldn’t have the problem in the first place

Gun control laws were initially conceived to prevent the Free American Negro from bearing arms. . .thus making them easier to oppress and murder, post-Reconstruction.

Gun control was designed to protect the KKK from their potential victims.

There is a reason the phrase "Gun Laws are Racist" is so popular with blacks today.
